From dinosaurs to Barbie Dolls

Our toys don't always get left behind. Our childhood friends my come back to haunt us, or just might become the subject of a creative endeavor whatever the case, chances are you aren't alone. Rose Skinner is one awesome example of how these plastic playthings journey onward. Her combination of color, toys, and installation create surreal environments for the eye to explore. Rae Burns work at ART STAR in Philly depicts characters in front of hyper colored backgrounds as if to say "dont forget." Images from last weeks meeting caught the camera by surprise as colors were singing and electric scenes came alive!
